Joumana El Dergham

Director & Support Coordinator

Joumana is the Director of Mimi Support and is passionate about creating supports that feel personal, genuine and centred around the individual.

With experience in the disability sector, a background in accounting and personal lived experience navigating the NDIS, Joumana brings both a practical and personal understanding of the challenges participants and families can face when trying to find the right supports.

As a Support Coordinator, Joumana works closely with participants and families to navigate the NDIS, understand their funding, build strong support teams and advocate for the supports they need.

Her lived experience has also strongly influenced the development of Mimi Support's Support Work services. Joumana understands how important it is to find support workers who are not only reliable and capable, but who genuinely connect with the person they are supporting. She believes the right support worker should respect each participant's personality, culture, routines and choices while encouraging greater confidence and independence.

Whether someone comes to Mimi Support for Support Coordination or Support Work, Joumana's approach remains the same: listen first, understand the person behind the plan and build supports around what matters to them.

Her vision for Mimi Support is to create a service where participants and families feel comfortable, supported and heard—and where quality support is built on genuine relationships, trust and respect.

“Good support isn't just about providing a service. It's about understanding the person, building trust and helping them live life in the way that feels right for them.”
